Hortimance Rootner Rooting balls:
- Hortimance rootner rooting balls are used for air layering plants. Air layering is a Horticultural technique to multiply plants by rooting the stems above the ground level.
- In air layering pencil size thickness stem of a plant is selected and it’s bark is removed in ring shape, which means a wound is made to the plant stem in a ring shape.
- After that our Hortimance root balls is filled with wet cocopeat and then it is fixed to the ring shape wound of the stem.
- Roots are formed at 15 to 45 days and the root forming duration mostly depends on the plant species.
- Water content inside the root balls should be checked periodically, if the cocopeat is dry or the water content in cocopeat is low immediately sprinle water at the hole area of the root ball.
- So the concept of air layering is simple if mositure is introduced to the wounded plant part rooting will happen at the wounded area.
- Cut the rooted stem and plant it in pots or in grow bags or plant directly in the soil. Now your new plant is ready.
